Different CV Formats
Although, there are lots of CV formats to be discussed that should be given importance and to be followed but we are going to discuss some of them that are most common and have importance. Here we go for the same!
-
Chronological CV is one of the most commonly followed formats in which the events of the life including the education, work, training, experience, etc are presented in the reverse order of the time. This is probably the most commonly used format but it might not be preferable in the case that you don’t have any experience or practical training.
-
In a Performance format of CV building, you can add the achievements you have received throughout your career.
-
Another very common format is the Functional CV in which the applicant has to present a different function and an expansion to his or her skills is expected out of the next job to be applied for.
-
In a Targeted format of a CV, your focus is based on the seat to be sought for within the prospective employer entity. In this type of CV, you enlist only those qualifications, achievements or credentials that are relevant to the job applied for.
-
The Alternative format is quite a classic format in which the applicant shows him or her a person with flamboyance and personality. The main purpose of this format is just advertisement and marketing of one’s skills and personality instead of securing the job!
